Want to lay the foundation for an international career in business? The broad spectrum covered in the International Business Bachelors course will open many doors for you. HHLA, together with Nordakademie in Elmshorn, offers a dual study course in this field. It takes seven semesters and covers 210 ECTS points. Completely in English, that’s guaranteed.
The course prepares you for handling international and intercultural challenges in business. You will learn about the main aspects of business studies, mathematical methodology skills and relevant IT and legal fundamentals. The semester abroad at a partner university is an important element of the course. The course also includes a broad range of seminars and foreign language options.
In the practical part of the training you will get to know the essential operational and economic processes beyond individual departments relating to seaport handling at HHLA’s container terminals in Hamburg, with the option of also working at locations abroad, such as Tallinn and Odessa. This includes working in the finance and managerial accounting, purchasing, sales and business development fields. Integrated into the project teams, you will gain in-depth knowledge of specialist areas.
