Speicherstadt Named World Heritage Site
The Speicherstadt historical warehouse district, which has been owned by Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) for over 125 years, has today been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the neighbouring Kontorhaus office building area with its famous Chilehaus building. This makes the Speicherstadt historical warehouse district part of Hamburg’s first World Heritage Site.

The Hamburg Speicherstadt, which HHLA built and developed into a vibrant quarter, has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
