2. Use of the Platforms and Data Processing by Social Network Providers

We use the services and technical infrastructures of external providers for our social media presence. It is important to note that the use of these social media sites and their functions lies within your own responsibility. This applies to interactive elements such as posting comments, sharing content or submitting ratings. We therefore advise you to carefully consider what information you wish to publish and share with other users.

When visiting the respective social media platforms, personal data and content are collected and processed. This may include information you provide directly as well as data about the devices you use (e.g. your IP address or cookies) or information from partners of the social media services.

 

3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Data Processing

Our presence on social media enables us to communicate transparently and continuously with our customers, business partners, employees and the public. We use these platforms to share relevant information and insights into our activities and to encourage communication. The processing of your data on our social media channels is based on our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the effective maintenance of public relations work and interaction with our online community and relevant groups.

 

4. YouTube (Google Ireland Limited)

For our YouTube channel, we use the technical platform and services of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.

We have no influence on the data type and scope of the data processed by Google, the kind of processing and use or the disclosure of this data to third parties.

By using Google, your personal data will be collected, transferred, stored, disclosed and used by Google as well as transferred, stored and used in the United States, Ireland and any other country in which Google operates. It may be transferred to affiliated companies of Google as well as to other companies or persons acting on behalf of Google.

Google processes your freely given data such as name and username, e-mail address or telephone number and content that you create, upload or receive from others when using the services (photos, videos, playlists and comments from YouTube videos). Google analyses the content you share, which topics you are interested in, stores and processes confidential messages that you send directly to other users and can determine your location using GPS data, information on wireless networks or your IP address to send you targeted ads or other content.

Google uses analysis tools such as Google Analytics for data analysis purposes. We have no influence on the use of such analysis tools by Google and do not receive any data obtained from the analysis. Only selected information from our subscribers' profiles is visible to us.

If you communicate with us using YouTube, we will process your personal data. The processing is executed for the purposes of our public relations activities (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The recipient of the data is initially Google, where it may be passed on to third parties as described above for Google's own purposes and under Google's responsibility. The recipient of the content is also the public, i.e. potentially all users of the platform. The information you provide to YouTube, in particular your user name and the content published under your account, will be processed by us in the context of responding to comments and messages sent to us. The data you publicly post and share on YouTube will be added by us to our channel and made available to our followers.

 

5. Instagram

For our contend on Instagram, we use the technical infrastructure and services of Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland).

When you visit our Instagram profile, Instagram collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is stored as cookies on your device. This information is used to provide us, as the operator of the Instagram pages, with statistical data about the use of the Instagram page.

When you access an Instagram page, the IP address assigned to your device is transmitted to Instagram. According to Instagram, this IP address (in the case of "German" IP addresses) is anonymized and deleted after 90 days. Instagram also stores information about its users' devices (for example, as part of the "Login notification" function); this can potentially allow Instagram to assign IP addresses to individual users.

If you are a user who is currently logged in to Instagram, a cookie with your Facebook ID will be stored on your device. This allows Instagram to track that you visited this page and how you used it. This also applies to all other Instagram pages. Furthermore, Instagram can record your visits to these websites and assign them to your Instagram profile through Instagram buttons integrated on external websites. This data can be used to show you personalized content or targeted advertising.

The data collected about you is processed by Instagram and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and may also be transferred to countries outside the European Union. We do not have a clear description of how Instagram uses the data from visits to Instagram pages for its own purposes, to what extent activities on the Instagram page can be assigned to individual users, how long Instagram stores this data and whether data from a visit to the Instagram page is passed on to third parties.

6. LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company)

For our contend on LinkedIn, we use the technical infrastructure and services of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

When you visit our LinkedIn profile, LinkedIn collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is stored as cookies on your device. This data is used to provide us as the operator of the LinkedIn pages with statistical insights into the use of our site.

When you access a LinkedIn page, the IP address assigned to your device is transmitted to LinkedIn.
