Our website gives you the option to sign up for our newsletter to receive emails that keep you up-to-date with new online magazine articles. We require only your email address for registration. We use a double opt-in process for the purpose of signing up for our newsletter. Once you have signed up on our website, we will send a message to the email address you have provided requesting confirmation. Your consent constitutes the legal basis for the processing of your data (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. To do so, you can either click on the unsubscribe link found in every newsletter you can object to the processing of your data. Our newsletters are sent via Mailchimp, an email newsletter platform operated by the US company Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, Georgia 30308, USA. When you provide us with your data (your email address as well as further, optional details) in order to subscribe to our newsletter, this will be saved on Mailchimp’s servers in the USA. Mailchimp utilises this information for mailing purposes and for statistical analysis of newsletters on our behalf. We use specialised service providers to process some of your data. We carefully select and regularly monitor our service providers. They process personal data via order processing exclusively on our behalf and strictly in accordance with our instructions on the basis of corresponding agreements.
Data will only be processed outside the EU/the European Economic Area where an adequate level of data privacy is guaranteed.
We provide a contact form on our website which can be used to contact us online. When using the contact form, the data provided is transmitted to us and stored. These data are Type of your contact, subject of your message, first and last name, e-mail, your company and the content of your message.
You also have the option of giving us feedback on missing topics in an additional text box so that we can expand and improve our contact services for you. The content of your feedback message will also be processed.
The following data is also stored when the message is sent: The IP address of the user, date and time of sending
Alternatively, you can contact us via the e-mail addresses provided on our website or by post. In this case, the user's personal data transmitted with the e-mail and by post will be processed.
When calling via provided telephone numbers, the telephone number is temporarily stored if the telephone number is automatically transmitted or the user is asked to enter it.
No data is passed on to third parties in this context. The data is used exclusively for processing the conversation.
The legal basis for the processing of data transmitted while sending the contact form or an email is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If the contact is aimed at the conclusion of a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
The processing of your data serves to manage your request, to prevent misuse of the contact form and to ensure the security of our IT systems. The purpose of storing the telephone number is to call you back if necessary and to prevent misuse of the service. No other personal data is collected. Our legitimate interests lie in the aforementioned purposes.
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected.
