During the award ceremony, Angela Titzrath stressed that she owes the honour to the many employees of HHLA who are ready to embrace change and innovation.

The Logistics Hall of Fame Council uses this award to recognise the companies setting the pace and ensuring the future of logistics. It honours people who have achieved extraordinary success for their companies or provided trendsetting stimulus for the industry. An international jury made up of over 60 industry experts from the worlds of politics, business, science and the media chooses the “Logistics Leader of the Year”.

This year, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Port of Duisburg Erich Staake was inducted into the Logistics Hall of Fame. The goal of the Logistics Hall of Fame as a global platform is to document the milestones of logistics and its movers and shakers in order to highlight the economic and social importance of logistics. The non-profit initiative has the support of representatives from the political sphere, association, the media, business and science. Its patron is the Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Andreas Scheuer MdB.
