At the Port of Hamburg, DAKOSY is primarily known for its data communication systems – not just because the acronym was created over 35 years ago from the first letters of the German words for data communication systems, but also because of numerous innovative projects. HHLA and its customers also benefit from these software solutions that simplify the customs process and the processing of hazardous cargo, booking slots at the Hamburg container terminals and supply chain management.
Jens Hansen was announced as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DAKOSY. He is the Executive Board member at Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG responsible for operations, engineering and information systems and has been a member of the Supervisory Board of DAKOSY since 2017. Hansen is looking forward to this new challenge and promises that “DAKOSY will make use of the diverse opportunities for digitisation in the logistics sector and drive forward the process of digitisation through the provision of attractive services and intelligent digital platforms.”
Software company DAKOSY is contributing significantly to the Port of Hamburg’s international reputation as a highly networked data port. Several companies involved in Hamburg’s seaport traffic, including HHLA, are among DAKOSY’s shareholders.
