Description of the position:

Junior Infrastructure & Network Technician supports the daily operation of our terminal's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with experienced colleagues to ensure the reliability of networks, end-user devices, and operational IT equipment. This is a hands-on role offering excellent learning and professional growth opportunities in a dynamic port environment.

Summary of responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and end-user devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Provide on-site technical support to office users and operational personnel.
• Support industrial PCs, onboard terminals, and IT equipment installed on operational vehicles.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the company's IT infrastructure.

The Candidate:

Education & Experience

• Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Previous hands-on experience (including internships, academic, or personal projects) is an advantage but not essential. 

Technical Skills & Knowledge Required (specific skills and knowledge required for the position)

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, switching, and routing.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and PC hardware.
• Interest in Linux systems administration (basic Linux knowledge is a plus).
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, virtualization, or IT security principles is considered an advantage.
