The Black Sea has been tied into global container traffic increasingly in the past years. This has also led to increasing numbers in Odessa, the largest container port in Ukraine. Container Terminal Odessa has been profiting from it in particular and is preparing for the growth of the next years. The terminal is consolidating its leading position through new berths for mega-ships and a modular expansion concept. It is already fit for the largest ships currently navigating the Black Sea, with up to 10,000 standard containers (TEU). The multi-purpose facility is handling project cargo and grain too.
