The Power Supply Engineer plays a critical role within the Asset team, the Power Supply Engineer manages the electrical development and the construction of the civil assets. The Power Supply Engineer works with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant delivery of assets.

What you can expect

• Lead design, procurement, and construction (including test and commissioning) of electrical works.
• Responsible of testing and monitoring after commissioning inspection.
• Follow and optimize the existing package with reference to energy consumption and supply.
• Collaborate with operation team and calculate the required terminal power based on machinery and plant forecast.
• Proactively find green-solutions and production alternatives in order to reduce the terminal’s carbon footprint.
• Develop, design, simulate and test high-power electronics devices and circuits.
• Generate related documentation like schematics, procedures, technical reports and drawings.
• Evaluate electronic and electrotechnical systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with technical team, external suppliers and project partners/stakeholders.
• Liaise with Public Authorities for electrical works when required.
• Collaborate with technical construction team and operations daily.
• Comply with all the safety and security rules and regulations lead by example.
• Support the department and business unit where required.
• Follow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelines.
• Actively report improvement opportunities to direct report.

What you bring to the table

We’re looking for an experienced power supply engineer excited to join the largest port development in Italy. The person maintains the highest technical and safety standards. The person is an all-rounder with experience in design, implementation and supervision of power supply assets. The role requires a pro-active approach and problem-solving in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

• Good English and Italian (German is a plus)
• Experience (5+ year(s)) in power supply/electrical engineering (design, implementation, supervision, etc.) with projects exceeding >€50 million
• Experience (5+ year(s)) formal / technical documents & regulatory (permit) approvals
• Good abilities in AutoCAD
• Thorough understanding of civil & safety guidelines and international practices
• Able to multi-task several ongoing construction projects
• Professional with a hands-on mentality and goal-oriented attitude
• Experience in supervising construction projects
• Ability to network and manage across internal and external technical offices
• Ability to network with internal and external stakeholders
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering or similar

The ideal candidate would have a valid EU working permit and would be willing to relocate to Trieste in short notice.
