Annette Walter was born in Düsseldorf on 29 May 1971. After studying business administration at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and the University of Uppsala, Sweden (1990-1995), she began her career at Deutsche Bank AG. From 1996 to 2005, she held various positions at the Frankfurt am Main, Düsseldorf and New York offices. Subsequently, Annette Walter was responsible as Director Structured Finances at HSBC Trinkhaus & Burkhardt KGaA in Düsseldorf in 2005 and 2006.
From 2006 to 2021, she held various international management positions at the energy company E.ON SE in Essen, including Vice President Structured Finance, and was responsible for the integration of Innogy SE into the E.ON Group as Workstream Lead CEO & CFO.
In 2021, she joined the STEAG GmbH Group and most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of STEAG Power GmbH.
Since January 2024, Annette Walter has been part of the four-person Executive Board team at Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG and, as Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for Finance & Controlling, Investor Relations and Internal Audit as well as the Real Estate segment.
