HHLA PURE: climate-friendly handling

  • Climate-friendly handling and transport are marketed under the name HHLA PURE
  • The Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) in Hamburg is a climate-friendly container handling facility 
  • Operations are primarily powered by green electricity Terminal processes that still produce CO2 emissions today will be gradually electrified or the transition to electricity will be field-tested.
  • HHLA will offset remaining CO2 emissions through climate-friendly projects that have been granted Gold Standard certification in accordance with VER (Voluntary Emission Reduction)
