HHLA PURE: climate-friendly handling

Climate-friendly handling and transport are marketed under the name HHLA PURE
The Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) in Hamburg is a climate-friendly container handling facility
Operations are primarily powered by green electricity Terminal processes that still produce CO₂ emissions today will be gradually electrified or the transition to electricity will be field-tested.
HHLA will offset remaining CO₂ emissions through climate-friendly projects that have been granted Gold Standard certification in accordance with VER (Voluntary Emission Reduction)
