As Head of Sales Projects, Anke will predominately be responsible for shaping HHLA’s international activities. International cooperation and the associated integration of sea and rail transport will form the heart of his new role.
In Anke, HHLA’s sales team has gained an experienced logistics expert with comprehensive expertise in the Asian market. The sinologist, historical and political scientist has spent the past twelve years as head of the Hamburg Liaison Office in Shanghai. From his base in the Chinese metropolis, he represented the interests of the Hanseatic city, the Port of Hamburg, the Chamber of Commerce, the city’s business development department and Hamburg Tourism in China, Japan and South Korea. He is fluent in Chinese, is well-versed in the local culture and has established a broad network of contacts in the region including economic representatives, authorities and institutions. Anke also has a thorough knowledge of China’s Silk Road policies.
