Angela Titzrath was born on 30 April 1966 in Essen. After studying economics and Romance language and literature at Ruhr University Bochum, she began her career as the Head of Operative and Strategic Controlling at Mercedes-Benz in Rome.
She took on several international top management functions at the Daimler Group between 1991 and 2012, including CEO of the Mercedes-Benz Credit of Canada, Managing Director of the Mercedes-Benz Credit of North America in the US and European Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Bank. She also headed up all services, equity interests and the corporate strategy in the DaimlerChrysler merger. In 2002, Ms. Titzrath took on the role of commercial managing director at the Mercedes-Benz production plant in Spain and subsequently became Member of the Executive Board for Sales, Aftersales and Logistics for the Daimler AG Buses division.
In 2012, she was appointed to the Executive Board of Deutsche Post AG, where she was responsible for Group Human Resources globally until 2014. In the last few years she has been an active Supervisory Board member for various companies and organisations, whilst also working as a consultant and lecturer.
Ms. Titzrath has been a member of HHLA’s Executive Board since October 1, 2016 and is its Chairwoman since January 1, 2017.
She is also a member of the supervisory boards of Talanx AG, Evonik Industries AG and Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
